The Capital Gains Reduction Act of 2011 (HB 1002) will be presented before Senate Revenue & Tax committee this Wed. the 9th. (It has already passed the House and will likely pass the Senate if we can get it out of committee).
Many people are making plans to go to the Capitol on Wednesday to demonstrate that the number one priority for Arkansans is JOBS not more government. The hearing is as 10 AM. Most plan to arrive at 9 or so. There will be signs and lapel stickers to show your support (or you may bring your own). It is time to show lawmakers and Governor Beebe that era of growing the government machine at the expense of private sector jobs…… is over.
The four Republicans on this committee are all committed yes votes… We need one vote. Please contact the Governor and these Senators and let them know you support the Capital Gains cut, HB1002.
The Committee Members:
(D) Senator Larry Teague (D-20)
(R) Senator Michael Lamoureux (D-4)
(D) Senator Jerry Taylor (D-23)
(D) Senator Paul Bookout (D-14)
