Former Senate President Pro Tem Michael Lamoureux (ALEC Member and former Board member) Receives $120,000 as a consultant
(From The Republic – Columbus, Indiana – one of the oldest newspapers in the country)
More corruption in Arkansas politics! We believe this will lead to a national story because Chief-of-Staff to Governor Asa Hutchinson, Michael Lamoureaux, is ethically-challenged! Seems like we are bombarded daily with scandal from our corrupt government officials. It’s always about the money… Follow the money trail.
Current Governor Chief of Staff and former Senator Michael Lamoureux (ALEC Member), R-Russellville, right, is shown with former Rep. Davy Carter (ALEC Member), R-Cabot, Carter currently serves as CEO of Jonesboro Community Bank, a subsidiary of Home BancShares Inc. of Conway.
This is still hot news, and it is worth looking at again to see the connection with ALEC members and money funneling.
“ALEC has a stranglehold over the State and many of the Legislators”
Former Senator Michael Lamoureaux was charged with violating Ark. Code Ann. § 7-6-203(g) in his capacity as the candidate for State Senate, District 16 during the 2012 election cycle by making personal use of $2,400 of his campaign funds in connection with checks written to:
Senator Cecile Bledsoe (ALEC Member) of Rogers (Ark. Senate Public Health Chair and ALEC Health and Human Services Task Force)
Senator Jason Rapert (ALEC Member) of Conway
Senator Jonathan Dismang (ALEC Member) of Bebee
All three of these Senators are ALEC members along with former Senator Lamoureux. He paid a $150 ethics violation fine on January 3, 2013 to the Arkansas Ethics Commission with money from his campaign funds. Can you believe it – that the fine was paid from the same campaign funds from which Senator Lamoureaux was charged with transferring the funds?! I wonder how Senator Lamoureux’ contributors feel about this.
Looks like Lamoureaux took money from others who DID have a legislative agenda while he was Senate Pro Tem. Let us not forget – we believe this stems from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Tobacco, oil, chemical and pharmaceutical companies are some of ALEC’s largest corporate supporters. We are sure more information will follow and will be uncovered.
We have lost faith in our government institutions and in mainstream media. The population at large has been controlled, lied to, manipulated, and mass medicated! We are now realizing how much we have been propagandized by government that respects no law or individual liberty. Fluoridation is just one of the techniques they use against the public to mass medicate. When you go behind the scenes and discover the players and who is promoting fluoridation, you will then have your eyes opened. This is true on many of the issues with which you are concerned, especially tort reform.
The lobbyists skillfully manage most legislators to get them to perform for the company they represent. It really gets unscrupulous when American Legislative Exchange Council is involved because they are a corporate lobbying firm and are legislatively driven. The ALEC Legislator State Chairs have to inform American Legislative Exchange Council of any public records or FOIA requests done on ALEC interests. ALEC does seem to have a legislator for every corporation.
From where did this $120,000 come that was paid to former Senate President Pro Tempore Michael Lamoreaux? The Arkansas Faith and Freedom Coalition.
Arkansas Faith and Freedom Coalition paid former Senate President Pro Tempore Michael Lamoureux’ law firm “Lamoureux Law” $120,000 in 2013. The $120,000 can be confirmed on Arkansas Faith and Freedom Coalition 2013_IRS_form_990 on page 8. Senator Lamoureux resigned from the Arkansas Senate in November 2014 to join Governor Asa Hutchinson’s administration. Mr. Lamoureux is currently Chief of Staff for Governor Hutchinson.

Reynolds American, a corporate ALEC member, is a big player in both the tobacco and fluoride industry. Secure Arkansas wanted you to be able to connect the dots and see how fluoride and tobacco are connected in the ALEC network.
Japan Tobacco to Buy Reynolds American for $5 Billion
Reynolds American Inc. (RAI) is selling the international rights to Natural American Spirit, and the international companies that sell its products beyond the U.S., to the Japan Tobacco Group. (JT Group) The all-cash deal is valued at roughly $5 billion, according to the company.
ALEC’s prime sponsor, at the 2015 ALEC Annual Conference “President’s Level” of $100,000, was North Carolina-based tobacco giant Reynolds American, a major contributor to state and federal legislators. Reynolds has long been a major player in politics: The company gave a total of $4.3 million to political nonprofits and political action committees in 2014. Reynolds wasn’t the only tobacco company at the table at an ALEC Conference; the Cigar Association of America put in $50,000, and Altria, parent company to Philip Morris and the world’s largest tobacco firm, contributed $25,000.
Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) Acquires Reynolds Metals in 2000: The Richmond, Virginia-based company – Reynolds Metals – producers of well-known Reynolds Wrap and Food Packaging was acquired by ALCOA. They are also a corporate member of the Council On Foreign Relations (CFR).
FLUORIDE Contamination at ALCOA Plant: Oct, 2012 – Fluoride concentration in grass near the ALCOA Fjardaál smelter was temporarily increased.
ALCOA link to Big Tobacco: In 1919, R.J. Reynolds‘ nephew – Richard S. Reynolds, Sr. founded the U.S. Foil Company in Louisville, Kentucky, supplying tin-lead wrappers to cigarette and candy companies. In 1926, aluminum was added to the line, and Reynolds Metals became the second-largest aluminum company in the US.
FLUORIDE Imported from China: Much of the fluoride added to municipal water supplies is imported from China and is contaminated with heavy metals.
Good grief! No wonder so many people have Alzheimer’s disease. We’ve addressed this topic in several of our past articles and alerts before.
