BAD NEWS UPDATE: Senators Sold Out to American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC)
and Convention of States (COS) on SJR 7 & SJR 9 Con-Con Vote
*** Exposing the ALEC Members of the Arkansas Senate ***
(listed below)
Senator Jason Rapert passed his Article V convention resolutions (SJR 7 and SJR 9) out of the full Senate today, February 28th, 2017! He worked viciously (especially with other ALEC members) for the eighteen votes in the Senate to get the number he needed for both bills to pass, and sadly, it worked. He’s worked on applying for an Article V convention for YEARS.
The resolutions ran under the guise of “marriage” and “right to life” amendments! They will be considered in the House soon. We must get to work contacting all Arkansas State Representatives and telling them to VOTE NO on SJR 7 and SJR 9 — and all other Article V convention legislation, or the State of Arkansas will be one of the states applying to Congress for a Constitutional Convention!
In case you didn’t know it, the non voting ALEC members sit on the sidelines waiting to cast the final vote to pass bills, and they take turns “taking a hit” on votes. They know how to work their manipulative strategy…

Special Note: One of ALEC's highest priorities is to amend the U.S. Constitution via a Convention under Article V of the United States Constitution. There remain many unanswered legal questions about how a convention is triggered. If a constitutional convention IS triggered, it is unclear that it could actually and constitutionally be confined to just ONE amendment
Also please boycott all ALEC corporate members. This list may be a little outdated, but you will get the message.
