GREAT NEWS!

Previously, we emailed you ACTION ALERTS regarding bill HB 2328 in Arizona which, if passed, would’ve established “a compact among the several States for the purpose of proposing a balanced budget amendment to the United States Constitution.”

In essence, it would’ve allowed another state to jump on the dangerous runaway bandwagon toward a national Con-Con!

However, Secure The Republic has learned today that HB 2328 was VOTED DOWN !

WHAT A GREAT VICTORY!

Several reasons were stated for voting it down, most important being that the bill was simply unconstitutional. The committee members actually had no debate other than to decide firstif the bill was constitutional.

Other reasons stated for its failure were that the COMPACT for America that was presented would not allow the People to choose the delegates and that it was “a disconnect with the people”.

We are thrilled for the victory in Arizona, but as always, we must remain vigilant in our efforts to stop a Con-Con in this country. Secure The Republic is dedicated to preserving our Constitution, including its Bill of Rights, which are so necessary for many causes, including states rights.
