HB1530: An Act relating to statutes and reports; providing for delegates to a federal constitutional convention; defining terms; prohibiting delegates from performing certain acts; providing for recall for a violation; requiring delegates to take an oath; specifying oath; requiring the Legislature to perform certain duties; providing criminal penalty for violation of oath; providing for codification; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency.
HJR1016: A Joint Resolution calling for a convention to propose amendment(s) pursuant to the provisions of Article V of the United States Constitution; making findings; and directing distribution.
Oklahoma legislators are getting bombarded by large organizations pushing the Article V (five) Amendment Convention.
They’re referring to it as “AN EMERGENCY”!

The laws you pass to control delegates
at an Amendment Convention will have
no power nor effect.
There is NO provision in Article V empowering state legislators to choose the delegates to an Amendment Convention or to limit the scope to one subject. There are no rules, no regulations, no instructions of any kind; and once a Convention is underway, the delegates answer to NOBODY!

The members of a Constitutional Convention are the direct representatives of the people (1) and, as such, they may exercise all sovereign powers that are vested in the people of the state. (2) They derive their powers, not from the legislature, but from the people: (3) and, hence, their power may not in any respect be limited or restrained by the legislature. Under this view, it is a Legislative Body of the Highest Order (4)
and may not only frame, but may also enact and promulgate, Constitution. (5)

Please stop forward action on HB1530 and HJR1016. Let them die in committee!!! They’re dangerous and put us at risk of losing our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

If HB1530 and HJR1016, the call for an Article V (Five) Amendment Convention, come to a vote, if you’re considering approving them, PLEASE think long and hard before you do. Do not put our Constitution and our Bill of Rights at risk.

Question: How can you expect the government to pay any attention to an amendment when they’re trampling the whole Constitution right now? Please don’t risk our Constitution.

There have been great sums of money spent
trying to dismantle the US Constitution and destroy America. This is real, and you must take it serous. Don’t take our word for it. You must check it out for yourself. To understand what is going on, you need do your own research and not rely on our Democrat or Republican leadership. They will not help to keep America a Republic.
There has been a move for a long time to scrap our existing Constitution and replace it with another Constitution. (Again, don’t take our word for it! Search for the information yourself!) The only way this can be sold to the American people is by an Article V Amendment Convention. When 34 states call for a federal constitutional convention, a federal Constitutional Convention will be called.
