We need your help in trying to stop the Convention of States Application filing in Alaska.   This application will be heard in the Alaska House State Affairs and the Alaska House Finance Committee very shortly.  Time is short, so we need everyone to call all of the members of the Alaska House State Affairs Committee and Alaska House Finance Committee starting immediately.  We have included the names of the members of the Alaska House States Affairs Committee and Alaska House Finance Committee and their contact information (below).  Make sure you call and send each of the members on the Alaska States Affairs Committee and Finance Committee an email telling them to vote “NO” on the Convention of States Application. The evidence against having a convention or Convention of States is shown in red below with a link to the pdf file.  

REMEMBER:  The U.S. Congress decides the mode of ratification.  The state legislators can be circumvented if the Congress calls for ratifying conventions.  For the evidence showing the inability of the States to limit an Article V Convention, click on the following link.

Background Info: On January 21, Representative Tammie Wilson, Wes Keller and Pete Higgins filed the Convention of States Project’s application, HJR22 in the Alaska  House of Representatives.  We’re going to have to work fast and make many, MANY calls and send many emails to GET THIS STOPPED!  HJR22 was referred to the States Affairs and Finance Committees on 1/21/2104
