Vote “No” on Ballot Issue 4!
Warning! Arkansas Ballot Issue 4 attempts to endanger your gun rights, if this deceptive ballot measure were to pass in our state, so be aware of the circumstances that could follow. Here are details you may not know.
Open Letter – Marijuana for Medicinal Purposes – from ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (Medical Marijuana cards bar you from possession of firearms or ammunition) Here’s a snippet:
Therefore, any person who uses or is addicted to marijuana, regardless of whether his or her State has passed legislation authorizing marijuana use for medicinal purposes, is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance, and is prohibited by Federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition.
The following is a form from the Firearms Transaction Record (when you go to purchase a firearm provided by a dealer):
c. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance? Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.
You must answer either a Yes or No to the above question.
Federally speaking, marijuana is still illegal in all 50 states. Currently, let’s look at the impact. It is a rude awakening!
We must guard our gun rights, dear reader.
Why?… because using marijuana, even with a medical card, you forfeit your right to purchase and own a firearm. Here are three reasons we felt led to inform our readers:
1. You would have to DENY any use of marijuana on federal forms to be able to purchase a new firearm or even be allowed to hunt, so technically, anyone who received a medical marijuana card in Arkansas can no longer legally purchase a firearm or even possess a firearm or ammunition. According to the dubious Arkansas Department of Health, you can’t have both a medical marijuana card and legally own a firearm.
2. You could lose your concealed carry permit, if you already have one.
3. You could be forced to undergo prosecution in Constitutional carry situations should you lie on a federal form about using marijuana, so we must NOT put ourselves in this precarious situation.
Protect your right to carry a weapon and defend yourself! Do not forfeit your right to own or purchase a firearm, folks. We must NOT amend our state constitution using this bad ballot measure because the devil IS in the details, especially what this does on a federal level.
Vote “no” on:
Issue No. 4 – An Amendment to Authorize the Possession, Personal Use, and Consumption of Cannabis by Adults, to Authorize the Cultivation and Sale of Cannabis by Licensed Commercial Facilities, and to Provide for the Regulation of those Facilities.
Remember, you cannot just read the title of a ballot issue and understand what will happen unless you are informed first, so do your research.
In closing, ALL of the ballot measures presented in this election season are bad, so vote them ALL out and stop them! Here’s what we said about the other 3 ballot measures. These politically plotted and threatening measures were written up to capture our precious liberties and religious freedoms.
To be clear, Secure Arkansas opposes all four Arkansas ballot issues on the ballot in November 2022.
