On Tuesday, May 30, 2023 — Harrison passed a one year Moratorium on Data Centers and Crypto Mining Facilities. This postpones data centers and crypto mining facilities in the area for one year… or until the city can get the zoning issues resolved or laws re-defined. This does not stop crypto mining or data centers altogether. Make sure to read Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the Ordinance below for details.
This needs to be done quickly in other areas, also, if a facility is being proposed or about to be constructed or purchased for a crypto mining data center! If this sounds like your city or county, you need to pass this ordinance in order to freeze any NEW crypto mining data centers from going into your community.
We will send out the official signed Harrison Ordinance once we have it.
You will need to type your own Ordinance and make it applicable for your own area so you can bring it to your City Council and/or Quorum Court ask them to pass a Moratorium on Data Centers and Crypto Mining Facilities there. It depends on the jurisdiction, as many of these crypto data centers are being proposed in rural areas, and there is usually no zoning outside the city except in certain areas. You can use Harrison’s Ordinance for an example. Other states, heads up, too!
Please note: all this will do is buy some time until the data center legislation that was passed fraudulently by the Arkansas legislature can be repealed.
And let’s not forget other victimized communities that have crypto data mining centers already there…
How did we even get to this place?
The Arkansas legislators enacted dangerous legislation during this last session that would protect crypto miners as data centers and clarify the guidelines needed to protect data asset miners from discriminatory industry-specific regulations and taxes. Astonishingly, it even overrode the local government.
Communist Crypto Mining bills like HB1799 and HB1654 were brought forth by our Republican lawmakers and signed into law by our rubber-stamp Republican Governor Sarah Huckee Sanders who still refuses to say one word about the bills. All we hear is crickets!
Both Acts need to be repealed because they are giving away the farm!
The Arkansas Data Centers Act (Act 851, originally HB1799) must be repealed!
Thankfully, Senator Bryan King has stepped forward to help and filed a much-needed Interim Study Proposal 2023 to repeal HB1799:
AN ACT TO REPEAL THE ARKANSAS DATA CENTERS ACT OF 2023;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
Also — we are STILL calling for Republican State Senator Jonathan Dismang’s resignation because he brought forth HB1654, now Act 819, under fraudulent circumstances. Read about it here: Fraud at the Arkansas Capitol Surrounding HB1654 and Crypto-Mining?
What a sweet deal for the Communist Chinese! Who got paid off?? Foreigners should not be allowed to start an LLC here in our country or be exempt from paying taxes on their equipment OR electricity they use.
