The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA):
It’s Our Patriotic Duty to Protect It!
.
Patriots, are YOU helping with the FOIA/ government transparency petitions? If so, thank you! If not, we desperately need your help to reach our enormous signature goal required by the state, and the petitions must be turned in to the Secretary of State July 5, 2024. That’s only about a month away. Please HURRY: sign the petitions, and help gather a few signatures!
.
The clock is ticking, and it’s up to us to make a difference,
for now and for the future!
Click here for the petition hubs — the pickup and drop-off locations around the state.
And here are some great places around the state to gather signatures on the FOIA petitions in May and June.
Our freedoms must be fought for… in every generation.
Secure Arkansas sombrely acknowledges Memorial Day as a day to remember those who have sacrificed their lives in their service to this great nation.
Flag Etiquette: On Memorial Day, the American flag is flown at half-staff from dawn until noon, then raised to full-staff until sunset. These gestures honor the fallen in the morning and symbolize the resilience and continued fight for freedom in the afternoon.
It’s Memorial weekend, and we remember those who have fought and died for this country to keep us free. We are eternally grateful.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank our brave men and women in the military for all the sacrifices and hardships that they endured — and continue to endure — in order to serve our country.
They, too, persevere to keep us free, especially from tyranny, from dictators who would try to force totalitarian government and block our fundamental right to open government.
On that note, are you aware of the importance of a Freedom of Information Act/ FOIA request?
It is one of our ONLY laws that keeps Americans in-the-know about our government.
The submission of a FOIA request guarantees that a record will be released, but FOIA is getting weakened and dismantled in many states, especially here in Arkansas.
Many government officials hate a FOIA request, for the most part because it exposes corruption and brings them to light.
Currently, federal agencies are still required to disclose any information that we request under the FOIA… unless it falls under under a few certain exemptions.
State government must NOT be allowed to hide records or be allowed to conduct closed meetings behind our backs. Rather, they MUST be held accountable and disclose information to the public in a timely manner. Remember, those public records kept by the federal, state, or local government belong to us: we, the people!
There is powerful information in public records, so let’s jump in and protect it. Let’s collect signatures on the FOIA petitions in order to keep our FOIA intact here in Arkansas, because currently, it’s under threat! If we fail to use this opportunity to gather signatures to keep our precious FOIA whole, we’ll get to sit back and watch what happens this next legislative session when the villainous RINO lawmakers move forward to dismantle and sabotage more of our good FOIA laws.
It would do us good to remember that in the 2023 legislative session, some of our RINO lawmakers proceeded to dismantle our Sunshine Law/ FOIA. This was disrespectful and dishonorable, and we knew we needed to stop further destruction. This is why we are circulating the FOIA/ government transparency petitions while there’s a door still open to do so!
Please watch this new, short video of Joey McCutchen, staunch advocate for government transparency. For those unable to view it, he shares this:
“I don’t have to tell you that wasteful spending runs rampant throughout our government today. From Washington D.C…. to Little Rock… all the way to local levels, politicians spend our money like it’s going out of style.
Whether you’re a Republican or Democrat; liberal or conservative… don’t you think we have the right to know how government is spending our money?
Sign the government transparency petitions today!”
The time to take action is NOW. If we don’t get enough signatures and this fails to get on the ballot for voter approval in November 2024, then hatchet-men politicians will be loosed and will design a plan to start the process of tearing our Sunshine Law apart, piece-by-piece.
Don’t let the politicians remove power from the people! Without the FOIA, the people lose control…
But WITH the FOIA, there is revelation!
Below is a good example of what happens if we don’t investigate government using the power of the FOIA request. The government WILL take advantage of us at every turn. We couldn’t trust anything they would say or do… ever! Take a look at what we mean.
This whole case below is about COVID cover-ups, but a FOIA request caught David Morens (NIH/NIAID), and now they’ve got a lot of explaining to do. Busted!
Morens was a top senior advisor for Fauci at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), and he allegedly destroyed COVID emails.
Must-read from Fox News: Top Fauci adviser allegedly destroyed COVID-era emails:
Republican lawmakers accuse Morens of deleting emails and using his personal email account to skirt Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

Peter, i just got news that a foia picked up an email sent you saying that tony commented he was braindead, jokingly of course.
However, Ron Johnson is all over it and now after me. Tony will be pissed, rightly so. I deleted that email but i now learn that every email ever god/sent since 1998 is captured and will be trned over, whetheror not istantly deleted it.
Gmail, phone, text…. i need to scrupulously rely on those exclusively

Good news, keep it up.
I had a long off the record chat with PBS Newshours’s Nick Schifrin this morning. The craziness is receding at least a bit.
I forgot to clarify in my email yesterday that BOTH my gmail and phone calls are now safe. Text is NOT, as it can be FOlA’d, as can my govt email.
So you and Peter and others should be able to email me on gmail only, with the caveat that no other govt. employed is copied at a govt address, as all govt emails are potentially FOlA’able.

In closing, we leave you with this previous alert from Secure Arkansas that shows the numbers needed in all 75 counties in Arkansas and simply say this:
PLEASE take action to sign the FOIA/ transparency in government petitions, help gather some more names & signatures on the petitions, and don’t leave the FOIA in the hands of politicians… for they despise it! (At least, most of them do.)
.
Let’s leave a legacy of light and transparency in government
for our generation… and for generations to come!
