Here is the update on the sinister Delta Dental bill SB613 for Monday, April 14, 2025… but there’s still hope for SB2:
What our Arkansas legislators need to remember is the current fluoride level in the water today, which was set by EPA and also set by the Arkansas Health Department, is in violation of the federal court order.
This court order was ruled on by a Federal Judge in Case 3:17-cv-02162-EMC that stated that water fluoridation poses an unreasonable risk of reduced IQ in children.
Sad news, but it looks like this problem is dealt with: Delta Dental’s SB613, did pass out of House State Agencies today. It will go to the House floor IF the sponsors haven’t pulled the bill.
SB613 — TO CREATE AN ELECTION PROCEDURE TO DETERMINE FLUORIDATION OF A PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM.
Rep. Aaron Pilkington ran the dangerous bill in committee because someone told him to do it! It was NOT amended in any way. We are not sure what is going on or what happened, but Senator Penzo, Rep. Duffield, and Senator King assure us that this vile bill has been pulled and won’t come before the House floor tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15.
So, it will NOT run on the House floor tomorrow to be voted on there. Hopefully, this is the case.
.
But there’s still hope for SB2! Hope deferred makes a heart sick, so let’s remain hopeful and pray.
SB2, the good bill, will do the following:
remove the fluoride mandate in Arkansas;
satisfy the Federal Judge ruling Case 3:17-cv-02162-EMC that water fluoridation poses an unreasonable risk of reduced IQ in children;
conform with HHS Secretary Kennedy who condemned fluoridation and called on state legislators to pass laws to ban it; and
satisfy the wishes of the majority of the users of Arkansas public water systems who wish to ban fluoridation.
We were told to promote SB2, the removal of the fluoride mandate bill.
So, we encourage all the House of Representatives to vote for this good, sound bill. It will take a majority of votes on the House floor in order for it to pass, but first, it has to get out of the House Public Health Committee Tuesday morning, April 15, 2025. Here is their Agenda for 8:00am.
Tuesday is the last day of session for anything to happen.
Please contact the members of this committee TONIGHT and let them know you SUPPORT SB2:
2025 House Committee for Public Health, Welfare, and Labor:
Also, we are calling upon you to make a difference and contact all 100 representatives tonight.
This bill could move quickly onto the House floor, so let them all know that you fully support SB2.
