What’s Wrong With This Picture?

A legislator asked us what was wrong with the bills we included in the email, “Can You Believe These Republicans Voted for This Bill?” We thought the information was clear enough but to put it more simpler: The bills referred to are all global warming bills backed by radical environmentalists that further Obama’s and other liberals’ CAP and Trade plan and radical EPA rules but disguised as energy savings bills as noted in the picture below. These bills will cause huge increases in energy prices for citizens of Arkansas.

Caption under the picture: “Flanked by environmentalists, Sen. Broadway and the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Kathy Webb, Gov. Mike Beebe signs legislation to make schools and government buildings more energy efficient.” Note the word ENVIRONMENTALISTS. Few people in Arkansas realize that Beebe surrounds himself with radical environmentalists and that the environmentalists take credit for getting these bills passed.

Obama said, “… You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”

So while we are fighting the liberals’ cap and trade bills and the EPA’s radical regulations at the national level, even our our Republicans have been helping to implement them (hopeflly through deception) at the state level at an unbelievably rapid speed. Senator Broadway and Representative Kathy Webb led this legislative endeavor through the roles on the Sustainable Development Task Force and the Governor’s Global Warming Commission that worked hand in hand. These two task forces were made up mostly by everyone except elected officials. And Broadway and Webb sponsored the major environmental bills in 2009.

In 2009 the Arkansas Energy Office on their website heralds eleven new energy related bills, the most critical ones being sponsored and co-sponsored by Broadway and Webb. This Arkansas Energy Office is actually channeling money from the Stimulus bill to the Clinton Foundation Climate Initiative. The Governor’s Global Warming Commission include this statement in the Executive Summary:

“All panels of scientists who have reviewed the science of climate change have concluded that there is a 90 to 95% probability that human activities have increased amounts of important GHGs (primarily CO2, CH4, N2O, and fluorocarbons) in the atmosphere to levels not seen in all of prior human experience, and likely not seen for 3 million years.“
