EMERGENCY ALERT: Calls needed against SJR16
PLEASE MAKE CALLS TO REPRESENTATIVES IMMEDIATELY AGAINST SJR16 . If passed, this measure would make it harder for people to get their initiatives and proposals onto the ballot. SJR16 would severely limit the petition process by requiring the submission of 90 percent accurate signatures at the deadline to qualify for an extension to cure shortfalls caused by signatures that cannot be verified.
Secure Arkansas was a ballot question committee. We don’t want the lawmaking process to be complicated for groups and people like us. We need to protect our rights to challenge the decisions of the legislature and to develop laws on which Arkansans may vote.
PLEASE CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES IMMEDIATELY AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO VOTE NO ON SJR16. This measure would take power away from the people!
