Congratulations, Jonesboro and Bobby Long! All of your hard work and due diligence has paid off once again! Bobby Long has won the Runoff Election for City Council (Ward 6, Position 1) against Dr. Richard Wang in Jonesboro!
The hard working people of Jonesboro have been very busy cleaning up the city council in the northeastern part of Arkansas. They understand that when they elect someone for the city council, quorum court, or school board, those local officials have an obligation to represent their local constituents, not some international policy-making entity like the United Nations which promotes globalism.
Remember, Bobby Long stood steadfastly against the diabolical Jonesboro Property Maintenance Code that was passed in December 2015, but Mayor Harold Perrin betrayed the residents of Jonesboro by casting the tiebreaking vote FOR that code. And thanks to a multitude of concerned and educated Jonesboro voters, that code was repealed!
Secure Arkansas was able to interview Mr. Long by phone tonight. When asked if he is up for the challenge of sitting on this city council, he replied, “No doubt. If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t have run.”
When asked if he would be opposing international property codes and globalist-style communities like Greensboro Village Town Center, he had this to say: “International property codes, you better believe it. I was a staunch opponent of that whole thing from the very beginning, and I’ll be a staunch opponent of anything that comes down the pike that looks like it.”
Tax increases were mentioned, and he said: “I would oppose a tax increase right now because government isn’t operating as efficiently and effectively as it can. I wouldn’t even consider one.”
Regarding his victory in securing the Ward 6, Position 1 City Council seat, Mr. Long went on to say: “The City of Jonesboro is the 2nd largest city in land mass and 5th largest in population, but we’re also a hub for medical, manufacturing, and agriculture for this whole region, so that’s a pretty important seat.”
When asked about his #1 priority as city councilman, he replied: “There’re a lot of priorities, but to execute this office not only to best of my ability but also to work compassionately, efficiently, and responsibly, and to keep that wisdom and common sense… I never want to lose sight of those principles upon which this country was founded.”
There are some special people who are watchmen on the wall in Jonesboro…
