The Arkansas Senate convenes Monday, April 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m, and the Arkansas House convenes Monday, April 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Click here for the Arkansas State Legislature meetings for the week. Please note that there is no agenda shown for Monday, April 3, 2017 for the Senate or the House. However, in digging around, Secure Arkansas was able to come up with the Senate Agenda and the House Agenda for Monday, April 3, 2017. Are the Arkansas legislators attempting to keep everyone in the dark regarding what is happening in both Houses on Monday, April 3?

They just won't quit!

Senator Bart Hester’s SB 373 is on the agenda for Monday, April 3, 9:00 a.m. to be voted on by the FULL Senate.

Secure Arkansas is requesting that the Arkansas Senate STOP this bad bill — SB 373 — immediately — Friday, March 31, 2017. SB 373 is an ANTI- Freedom of Information Act bill!

Senators, you probably noticed an overabundance of attorneys from the University of Arkansas hanging around the Capitol recently.  Those attorneys are there — and are being paid Big Bucks from TAXPAYER MONEY — to support the University of Arkansas’ position on SB 373, NOT We the People. They don’t want Freedom of Information.  They want to limit taxpayer access to public records!  You must ask yourself:  why do they want public access to records blocked?

It is your responsibility, Arkansas senators, to protect our ability to access information. We do NOT want bureaucrats hiding huge amounts of OUR public records!

Legislators, VOTE NO on SB 373!

IMMEDIATE ACTION for our readers: Click the GREEN "TAKE ACTION" BUTTON below, enter your personal contact information (name, address, etc) which is NOT stored, and follow the easy one-click action after that to email ALL of the Arkansas senators quickly and easily.

ALSO — Senator Jake Files’ SB 140 will be up for a FULL House Vote on April 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

Senator Jake Files (R, Fort Smith)

If passed, SB 140 would impose sales and use tax on most of YOUR internet purchases.

Legislators — this will affect YOU, too!  VOTE NO on SB 140.

IMMEDIATE ACTION for our readers:  Click on the GREEN "TAKE ACTION" BUTTON below, enter your personal contact information (name, address, etc) which is NOT stored, and follow the easy one-click action after that to email ALL of the Arkansas representatives quickly and easily.

Stay tuned!
