Committee action on HB 1292, “To Prohibit Illegal Aliens From Receiving Any State Benefit Except In Instances Of Emergency Or When Life-Saving Measures Are Required,” will be voted on February 23, at 10 a.m., in the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, Room 151. This is the committee we must focus on for now.
According to a Rasmussen Poll just released Feb 18th, “67% say states should be able to enforce immigration laws if Feds are not.”
Here is a list of the hold-out votes for HB1292 from the State Agencies & Governmental Affairs Committee. As far as we know, these people are planning on voting “no” on Wednesday in opposition of Jon Hubbard’s bill. Evidently, these people are wanting to support illegal aliens with your tax dollars. This bill needs to pass with a “yes” vote so that we can proceed with a vote from the full House. This will keep illegal aliens from getting state benefits.
Stay tuned. If you secure a “yes” from any of them, let us know immediately. When any come on board with us, we will notify you and this list will be updated.
