Agenda 21 at the door of Mountain View
The property owners of the proposed Mountain View Historic District need your support.
Your attendance is requested at the Mountain View City Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 6:00 pm at East Side Fire Station on N. Bayou Drive off Hwy 14 East (next to the airport)
PLEASE ATTEND so we can kill this U.N. Agenda 21 Historic District proposal.
One item on the agenda will be the proposed Mountain View Historic District. The Department of Arkansas Heritage is attempting to ramrod the passage of this proposed Mountain View Historic District by counting the 16 ballots not returned as a “Yes” vote.
One of our coordinators sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) email request to the Department of Arkansas Heritage to get a list of all the properties and property owners within the proposed Mountain View Historic District, a copy of each ballot that was sent out, and a copy of each ballot that was returned. There were 40 ballots sent out, four of which were not property owners. There were 24 ballots returned. The vote is 13 against the proposed Mountain View Historic District and 11 for the proposed Mountain View Historic District. The Department of Arkansas Heritage wants to count the 16 ballots not returned as a “Yes” vote for the Mountain View Historic District. The addresses of the property owners were not verified with the Stone County Tax Collector.
Our suggestion to all the Arkansas legislators is to defund ALL appropriations to The Department of Arkansas Heritage. This department is not operating in the best interest of the people of Arkansas. It’s a waste of taxpayers’ money and needs to be eliminated.
