A Convention could be triggered this year! We are alerting you before we get into this article that Congress may count the applications however that want – they may aggregate them to get the needed 34 total state legislatures for Congress to be able to call a Con-Con. So, it is mandatory that we stop ANY more applications from getting passed in ANY state, including Arkansas, on any “brand” and no matter what it’s called because most applications sound good!
Also, we MUST have our current legislators rescind any previous applications existing and lingering around from past years! Click here for an example of a resolution to rescind ALL calls for an Article V Convention.
2019 is a critical session, dear reader! We cannot afford to let SJR3 get out of the Arkansas Senate Committee for State Agencies & Governmental Affairs.
This article contains information about the top players promoting a convention in our legislatures across the U.S.: George Soros, Mark Meckler, Tom Coburn, and Robert Natelson. They seem to be in this for the money!
The Convention of States Project (COSP) is desperate to keep their funding. In 2017, one state after another defeated the Article V Convention applications. Last legislative session, Arkansas played dirty and used tactics to expunge the votes on such legislation so they could start over on new legislation – as if the previous votes never occurred!
Many legislators are denying that the Political Left is working with the Convention of States Project. However, Progressive groups and leaders ARE working hand-in-hand with “conservative” groups to promote a rewrite of our federal Constitution. Some of these progressive left-wing groups are Wolf PAC, MoveToAmend.org, MoveOn.org, and many more.
KEEP READING, and scroll to see the picture included below. Looks like both the Left and the Right are working to destroy our existing Constitution and America, and George Soros DOES directly affect action in Washington D.C.
Here’s the first highly-paid lobbyist/ player we’ll be revealing…
Mark Meckler – Founder: Convention of States, Tea Party Patriots, and President/ CEO of John Hancock Committee For The States doing business as Citizens For Self Governance. Looks like he’s just a puppet easily controlled for the money.
Mark Meckler’s total compensation for 2016 from COS and John Hancock Committee For The States (doing business as Citizens For Self Governance) was $476,904 plus $75,000 that Patricia Meckler received, for a total of $551,904.
Mark Meckler Finds Common Ground with Strange Bedfellows, by Orlean Koehle
Mark Meckler has developed a working relationship with at least two far left leaders who also want an Article V Convention. They are: Joan Blades, co-founder of the far-left “MoveOn.org,” one of the prominent groups that are part of Move to Amend, funded by George Soros; the other leader is Harvard law professor, Lawrence Lessig. Both leftist groups want an Article V Convention because of their desire to overturn the Supreme Court ruling of “Citizens’ United,” and Lessig just happens to believe the Constitution needs to be totally rewritten.
Joan Blades co-founder and on the board for MoveOn.org and Mark Meckler of the Covention of States (COS). The Left and Right working together… so, there you have it! A picture speaks a thousand words. George Soros is a big funder for MoveOn.org.
Truth is, MoveOn’s Joan Blades and COS Mark Meckler, have been talking online and over the phone for a few years now. Quietly, until now.
So, what is wrong with Mark Meckler cozying up to different organizations (no matter how liberal) if they all want the same thing – an Article V Convention (AVC)? Because the COS Project presents themselves as very conservative, they should be diametrically opposed to what Move to Amend wants and stands for. Should it also not bother Meckler that George Soros is also funding these liberal groups and also wants an Article V Convention to take place? Would that not make one a little suspicious of their motives? COS Project leaders also tell their supporters that the AVC will be limited and held only for their conservative amendments, not for liberal ones. How can they say that? There is nothing written in the Article V that authorizes it to be a limited AVC. That is all speculation.
Mark Meckler used to warn people against an Article V Convention of the States: In his book that he co-authored with Jennie Beth Martin, Tea Party Patriots, published in 2012, Meckler quotes from and agrees with political analyst Dick Morris who states:
But no amendment has ever been passed by a convention. Those who have considered such are righty fearful that an open-ended Convention could produce changes that would alter the very frame-work that guarantees us freedom. Who wants a group of politicians to have the power to repeal the First Amendment or mess with our system of elected representatives? More likely any convention would get so tangled up in such issues as abortion, gay marriage , and gun control that it would never be able to address anything else. p. 106 (Emphasis added)
Meckler’s change of heart: Now Meckler and other conservative leaders are all for a COS Convention. What happened to change their minds? Could it be all the money that is pouring in, in support of this cause?
Couldn’t conspiring men/women disguise themselves as patriots, attend as delegates, and then propose that the U.S. Constitution be scrapped as an old, outmoded, out-of-date document? As stated above, should we not be rightly fearful that it would be an “open-ended convention and would alter the very framework that protects our freedom?
This powerful professor of propaganda guides the details of the Con-Con and influences legislative bodies across the country! What a sham!!!
Meckler needs to get a real job and quit depending on his donors to support him.
Now, we’ll introduce you to another player/ highly-paid lobbyist.
Tom Coburn – Former U.S. Senator from Oklahoma

Watch this eye-opening video to see what happened in the Montana legislature in 2017 – how the sponsor of House Resolution 8 (HJ8) (Montana Representative Tschida) to make an application for an Article V convention withdrew his sponsorship. Secure Arkansas thanks Rep. Tschida for his conviction, his courage, and his leadership! His behavior shows that he’s a man of honor and integrity.
The Montana victory is especially sweet because the University of Montana is where Professor Robert Natelson was denied Emeritus status after his long tenure there. Natelson is yet another player in this web of deceit.
What is “Emeritus status”? From this Missoulian article: Emeritus status is granted to a retiring professor whose colleagues feel he or she is worthy of the academic recognition and prestige based on the faculty member’s research, service and instruction during his teaching tenure.
Robert G. Natelson is also on the Board of Scholars with the globally corporate-controlled American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). This professor of propaganda is the author of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) Legislative Handbook written for State Lawmakers representing corporate America. (The handbook he wrote includes the disclaimer that nothing in it should be taken as legal advice and that readers should search out counsel in their own states.)
He was better-known as a political activist and talk show host in Montana.
Now a team member of a manipulative Think Tank based in Colorado called the Independence Institute, here’s Natelson’s profile there.
He’s also the editor at the Article V Information Center: a project of the Independence Institute. Unfortunately, this is a propaganda center to which many of our lawmakers are directed for “answers” to their questions regarding an Article V convention. Much of the information found there may be factual, but there’s just enough error and misinformation to lead people astray…
Legislators, beware! These institutes and lobbyists have consolidated their misinformation to be distributed throughout the state legislatures and groups regarding a convention.
“Limited Convention”: Notice that Wolf-PAC also has claimed that this would be a limited convention only for the “sole purpose” of proposing their amendment:
“Be it further Resolved, That this application is for a limited constitutional convention and does not grant Congress the authority to call a constitutional convention for any purpose other than for the sole purpose set forth in this resolution.”7
We’ve shared with you several times that it’s not possible to limit the actions of the delegates, once a convention is underway. If a convention is convened, many legislators will say, “Oh, what have we done?!”
CALL TO ACTION #1: We must demand immediate action from our lawmakers!
Call AND email them and respectfully ask that they pull their sponsorship AND rescind ALL applications for an Article V convention. Click here for an example of a resolution to rescind ALL calls for an Article V Convention.
We especially need to call Senator Gary Stubblefield and ask him to withdraw the sponsorship of this dreadful bill, SJR3. He’s a dairy farmer from Branch, Arkansas, and owns Valley View Farms.
