The Federal Takeover of Our ID — Real ID

Today, thousands of Americans are flooding DMVs across the nation.

Why?

The TSA/DHS is moving to enforce REAL ID compliance with Driver’s Licenses
by May 7, 2025!

People are scared they can’t board a plane without being compliant with REAL ID.

See this report from Fox News. So, we do have options, and there’s no need for panic or worry. Read on…

Here’s an example of what a READ ID card looks like.

.

None of us as Americans should be refused access to a federal building or threatened with being denied access to board a plane for failure to submit to an unconstitutional National ID card that ties us to their globalist system.

This malevolent law, known as The REAL ID ACT, needs to be repealed immediately.

Here’s some history:

  • Regretfully, in 2005, Congress passed an unconstitutional law requiring all Americans to be issued a “National Identification card”. The REAL ID ACT enacted the 9/11 Commission’s recommendation that the Federal Government “set standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver’s licenses.” (Our U.S. Constitution does NOT require us to submit to this threatening REAL ID program, or a National ID system!)

  • Then in 2008, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a rule requiring every state to comply/conform to the unconstitutional federal law and issue REAL IDs for everyone’s driver’s license and identification cards. So, federalizing our driver’s license known as the REAL ID Act usurps power which has been reserved to the states.

  • The 2008 REAL ID rule laid out by DHS stated: “DHS does not agree that it must seek approval of Congress as a prerequisite to changing the definition in the future. . . as 201(3) of the Act gives discretion to the Secretary of Homeland Security to determine other purposes.” So, the Secretary of DHS shall determine and/or expand the uses of REAL ID or requirements in the future. Oh, dear…

  • This final TSA rule recently issued January 14, 2025, permits “progressive enforcement” for two years (May 7, 2025 – May 5, 2027), including a suggested “three-strikes” action against travelers without REAL IDs or TSA-acceptable documentation.

  • Note: In January 2025, the corrupt Alejandro Mayorkas served as the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS). Appointed by President Joe Biden, Mayorkas held the position from February 2, 2021, until January 20, 2025, coinciding with the conclusion of the Biden administration; but then, following the transition of power to President Donald Trump on January 20, 2025, Kristi Noem, the former Governor of South Dakota, was nominated and confirmed as the new Secretary of Homeland Security. She assumed office shortly thereafter, bringing a focus on stricter immigration policies and national security measures. So, sadly, under her leadership, DHS has announced that, starting May 7, 2025, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will fully enforce these unconstitutional REAL ID requirements at airport security checkpoints.

Here in Arkansas, back in 2008, this happened to be one of Secure Arkansas’ first battles at the Capitol on an issue:  the legislature wanted to MANDATE an “enhanced” driver’s license, meaning a National ID card on which all of a person’s information could be revealed! Back then, we were able to help stop the mandate, and people could opt out of an enhanced driver’s license if they wanted to do so.

Sadly, state agencies and government bureaucrats have colluded with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to secretly receive funds to implement this insidious REAL ID. The AAMVA is just another harmful non-profit organization (NGO) hampering our freedoms as Americans.

What the government wants to do is to have our ID digitized and eventually put it on our cell phones.

Look at China and their nightmare social credit system! The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) tries to control their spy system through the phone.

They are looking for your driver’s license to be machine-readable. Again, they want to put REAL ID on mobile phones where it could be accessed by the government and updated in real time.

Readers, we should NOT want to comply with this National ID card! Why?  Because REAL ID is an unconstitutional National ID that will end our state and personal sovereignty.

We have other options:  there are other federally accepted forms of ID that can be used to board a domestic flight.

And remember, DHS said that the regulations outlined a two-year phased enforcement period starting May 7th.

This is what’s on tsa.gov website now to show you what an acceptable ID is:

The list of acceptable IDs is subject to change without notice. TSA strongly encourages you check this list again before traveling, so you do not arrive at the airport without acceptable ID.

  • Driver’s licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)

    • Beginning May 7, 2025, if you plan to use your state-issued ID or license to fly within the U.S., it must be REAL ID compliant. If you are not sure if your ID complies with REAL ID, check with your state department of motor vehicles.

    • A temporary driver’s license is not an acceptable form of identification

  • State-issued Enhanced Driver’s License

  • U.S. passport

  • U.S. passport card

  • DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)

  • U.S. Department of Defense ID, including IDs issued to dependents

  • Permanent resident card

  • Border crossing card

  • An acceptable photo ID issued by a federally recognized Tribal Nation/Indian Tribe, including Enhanced Tribal Cards (ETCs).

  • HSPD-12 PIV card

  • Foreign government-issued passport

  • Canadian provincial driver’s license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada card

  • Transportation worker identification credential

  • U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Authorization Card (I-766)

  • U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential

  • Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)

Secure Arkansas also wants to include this menacing little threat from TSA:

Passengers who do not yet have their REAL ID or another TSA acceptable form of ID can expect to face delays, additional screening, and the possibility of not being allowed into the security checkpoint. This includes TSA PreCheck passengers.

Can you stop and check your Driver’s License now? If your ID has a “star,” then it IS a National ID, not a state ID.

They want all travelers aged 18 or older to present a REAL ID-compliant form of identification or another acceptable ID, such as a passport, to board domestic flights.

So, if you would like to fly, may we suggest that you get a passport, NOT a REAL ID.

State legislators must refuse to carry legislation for Real ID.

Immediate Action Alert: please contact your U.S. Senators and Congressmen and ask them to withdraw the TSA “progressive enforcement” rule and repeal this unconstitutional REAL ID law!

.

In closing, we are disappointed in the Trump administration. See if you think this is where we are headed if we can’t stop this totalitarian law:

  • Mass Surveillance
REAL ID enables the federal government to create a de facto national ID system, potentially leading to tracking or monitoring of Americans.

  • Centralized Databases
Although DHS says it doesn’t maintain a federal database of IDs, we can argue that state data-sharing agreements effectively create one.

  • Loss of State Sovereignty
The law pressures states to comply under the threat of limiting their citizens’ ability to travel or access federal facilities, which we see as federal overreach.

  • Slippery Slope to Global ID
We see REAL ID as a step toward a global identification system or unified control structure. These ideas are linked to the New World Order (NWO), a term used to describe an alleged plan for a centralized authoritarian world government.

  • The New World Order Advances
More and more of our freedoms get crushed under each new presidency. Yes, some more than others, but still — REAL ID will advance and be worse than you may think.

But there is hope and encouragement:

John 16:33 – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Romans 5:6-10 – For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
