TODAY 1/26/24 is Last Day to Submit Names for Amicus Brief…
Final opportunity to add your name and county!
TODAY (Friday, Jan. 26, 2024) is the last day to join us in our amicus brief in support of Conrad Reynolds’ case against the Secretary of State, regarding his ballot initiatives. If you haven’t yet sent us your name and county in which you live, tonight is the cut-off to do so.
Conrad Reynolds has been trying to move our state to paper ballots. We are specifically supporting the section of his Complaint wherein he requests the court put a permanent injunction against AR Code Ann. § 7-9-107 and § 7-9-126(e).
This is a bullet point version of what we will say in the brief. The brief is by We the People and for the purpose of showing that the People support the request to remove these laws.
Amici curiae, friends of the court (in Latin), are entities that are not part of the case, but have pertinent information that will help the case for either the plaintiff or defendant. It is a legal document and will be filed with the Supreme Court of Arkansas in support of Reynolds.
